The members of Jardin Gratuit Facebook group really love using the geographic map. Whether it's to find a cool thing or to offer one, or even to offer services as a volunteer gardener.
The map shows the items that can't be easily shipped and it is regularly updated. Of course, there are fewer things on it during winter time, but more and more things keep appearing on it as the gardening season progresses. Below are examples of what was available last summer.
FREE GARDEN
Free Garden is a friendly and supportive community of people that comes from all over Quebec, and even from around the world. Free Garden is present on Facebook and Instagram, but also helps bridge the gap between corporate social responsibility and civic action. Free Garden offers to NPOs, schools, etc. free access to a large seed library, donations from partners, as well as a matchmaking service between organizations and volunteer gardeners (seed donations, surplus crops, advices and on-site support) .
